PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST

 

Follow these simple steps to save time, money, and frustration

when sending digital print ready files.

 

1- Files must be saved in an acceptable format such as PDF, EPS, TIFF, PSD, JPG, or AI.

 

2- Image resolution must be 300dpi or higher.

 

3- File must be CMYK format for offset printing, or use PMS colors for spot printing. RGB format acceptable for digital printing.

 

4- File must have 0.125" bleeds on all sides with crop marks in place if your design bleeds.

 

5- Critical type and images must be within the "Live Area." You can download templates from the "Help Center" on this site.

 

6- All pages of a multi-page document must be setup as single pages or in printer's spreads. Readers spreads will not be accepted.


7- All images and fonts must be supplied with native application files, or embedded in a high resolution print ready PDF.

 

8- Check that your file separates correctly for either CMYK process printing, or PMS spot color printing.

 

9- File name must NOT exceed 15 characters or contain spaces, commas, or any special characters. (ie: \ / : ; ! ? " < > | & @ # $ % * ( ) { } )

 

10- Use the proper extension in your file name. (ie: .pdf, .eps, .tiff, .jpg, .ai)
